Terms of Service

Version 2026-01 · effective September 5, 2026

These terms govern your use of daikokunyc.com and anything you submit through it. Daikoku NYC Corp. is a New York not-for-profit corporation recognised by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity.

What this site is for

The site publishes our events and programs, and lets you register a vehicle, register for an event, apply to volunteer, contact us, join the mailing list, become a member, and make a donation. Everything on it is offered as-is, and we may change or remove any part of it.

What you submit

You are responsible for what you send us being accurate and yours to send. Do not submit anyone else’s personal information, photographs you do not have the right to share, or anything unlawful. We may decline, edit, or remove any submission, and we review vehicle and event registrations before they appear anywhere or are accepted.

By submitting a photograph of a vehicle you confirm you have the right to do so, and you grant us permission to show it in the public registry and to use it in materials about our programs. You can ask us to remove it at any time.

Registration and approval

Some events require registration, and some require approval. Registering is not a guarantee of a place. Approval is at our discretion and is usually limited by space rather than by any judgement about you or your vehicle. Participation is also subject to our Code of Conduct and, for events, the Participant Agreement and Liability Waiver.

Text messages

If you tick the box asking us to text you, we will send occasional operational messages about the event you registered for. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them, or HELP for help. Consenting to texts is never a condition of registering for anything.

Email

We email you about submissions you make. If you opt in to the mailing list we will also send occasional news about our programs. Every such email carries an unsubscribe link.

Donations and membership

Donations are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number. Contributions may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law, and no goods or services are provided in exchange unless stated at the time of the gift. Donations are generally non-refundable — if something has gone wrong with a gift, write to us and we will put it right. Memberships renew until cancelled, and can be cancelled at any time.

Merchandise

Prices and availability can change, and we may cancel an order and refund it if an item is unavailable or was listed in error.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the site, submit automated or bulk entries, scrape it, or misuse the forms. Submissions are screened automatically for automated abuse, and flagged entries are held for human review.

No warranty, and limits on liability

The site is provided without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ${ORG.legalName} is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Participation in a physical event is governed separately by the Participant Agreement and Liability Waiver.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version and effective date at the top of this page tell you which one is current, and continuing to use the site means the current version applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
