Daikoku NYC Corp. (the “Non-Profit”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our donors and the personal information you may share with us or that we hold. We value our donors’ trust and recognise that maintaining this trust requires the charity to be transparent and accountable to our supporters and the public at all times.

We collect and maintain personal information that you provide when you contact us by phone, mail, or email, in person, or via our website; register for an event; make a contribution, either on our website, at a special event, over the phone, or by mailing a check; or navigate through our website.

• —Giving information, including types and amounts of donations. Card details are handled by our payment processor using secure transaction methods; we do not store card numbers and do not disclose card account information except for the proper processing of donations.

• —Non-personal information that does not personally identify you, including anonymised or aggregated information.
• —Information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

Confidentiality

All information about any financial and non-financial transactions between you and the Non-Profit is considered highly confidential and we employ appropriate security measures designed to protect it. While the information is kept confidential, it is shared with the Non-Profit’s board members, staff, volunteers, and professionals on a need-to-know basis and in compliance with all laws, regulations, court orders, or other governmental requests.

We will from time to time communicate with you, including by telephone, text, email, and mail, concerning our charitable activities, events, and requests for future support. Records retention and destruction

We comply with all Internal Revenue Service, state, and local regulations and our internal policies governing the retention, management, and destruction of donor information.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can review and request changes to the personal information we hold about you by contacting us below. We may be unable to accommodate a request that would impact record retention or other operational requirements, violate any law or legal requirement, or cause the information to be incorrect.

Children under 13

Our website is not intended for children under 13 years of age. No one under 13 may provide any personal information on the website. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and will delete any such information we learn we have received without verification of parental consent.

Donor Bill of Rights

We work to follow the Donor Bill of Rights developed by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, and the Giving Institute, and the eDonor Bill of Rights developed by the AFP.

Changes to this policy

We reserve the right to amend this policy. We will notify you of material changes by email to the address we hold for you, or through a notice on the website home page.
